With a population of more than 19,000 residents, the City of Springboro is considered an upscale suburb of Cincinnati and Dayton, located in Warren County with a small area in Montgomery County.

Springboro is accessible by three of the major expressways in the region; it is home to the Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport, which is along the Springboro Pike. Settled as early as 1796, Springboro was founded in 1815 by Jonathan Wright. The city’s original spelling was “Springborough.” During the early history, Springboro was mostly Quaker. Two mills and a woolen factory were constructed in the 1830s on the abundant springs after which the town was named.

Each September, the Springboro United Church of Christ hosts their annual Oktoberfest Springboro in the city center. This event features games, authentic German food and drink, and live entertainment. In November of every year, city residents enjoy the Christmas in Springboro event in the city center along Main Street. This event draws in people from all over the region to visit with local residents, check out vendors, and participate in festivities. It’s designed to launch the whole Christmas season.
